Autumn brings harvest - time of beauty
Winter brings peace and contemplation
Spring stirs the blood with new growth
But summer - summer warms my heart.
Thank you, God, for summer.
It's not the excitement of spring
Or the harvest fulfillment of autumn
But a time to just get on with it.
That's my life now too.
The excitement of breaking free is past.
The harvest is only a hope on the horizon.
But my hands have lots to do.
May the seeds that have been planted
And the tender new growth I am tending
Produce lavishly under my care and God's
And grow me a life.
